Discount / Markup / Margin Calculator

Four pricing moves in one place: discount a list price, mark up a cost to set retail, check the margin on a price you've already chosen, or model the full e-commerce chain from cost to what the customer pays. All math runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Pricing vocabulary

Discount
Percent taken off a list price. A 25% discount on $100 = $75 sale price, $25 saved.
Markup
Percent added on top of cost. A 100% markup on $10 cost = $20 selling price, $10 profit per unit.
Margin
Percent of the selling price that is profit. $10 profit on a $20 sale = 50% margin. A 100% markup is 50% margin, not 100%.
Chain
Full e-commerce flow: cost → markup → (sale) → shipping → (sales tax). Models what the customer pays and what the merchant nets.
